In conjunction with National Stalking Awareness Month and National Human Trafficking Awareness Month, the JuLEPs will be hosting a virtual women’s safety workshop with Kate Gregori on January 24 at 9AM. All proceeds from this event will benefit the Eastern Panhandle Empower Center, which provides resource for survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, dating violence & human trafficking!
Kate Gregori is an Instructor of a diverse array of subjects
including Defensive Tactics, Martial Arts, Olympic Weightlifting, Functional Movement, Physical Fitness, Nutrition, Art, Performing Arts, and Spanish to people of all ages and abilities. She has been teaching Defensive Tactics for over a decade and finds great pleasure in sharing her wealth of knowledge, especially with women and children.
In her current role as an instructor for the Department of Defense, Kate travels the world bringing life-saving skills to our American forces stationed abroad and trains those in the DC area that are preparing to deploy overseas. Having also trained in KAPAP (Israeli Special Forces, Units Yamam and Sayeret Matkal), Keysi Fighting Method, Gracie Jiu Jitsu, Muay Thai, Kali, and Systema, Kate is well-positioned to bring the comprehensive world of self-protection to life for the public.
Kate is a published author for Martial Arts Illustrated Magazine on the topic of women’s safety issues and was featured on the cover of the September 2016 issue.
With a passion for helping women, Kate is very pleased to be hosting this virtual women’s safety workshop for the Junior League of the Eastern Panhandle to share what will surely be eye-opening and potentially life-saving information. We will discuss why personal safety is different for women and why she believes that women are the demographic that need this information the most. As a working mother of three with various charitable community volunteer roles, Kate certainly understands the busy life of modern women, and can help you incorporate learning skills to stay safe without spending hours a week in training. She will demonstrate physical skills that do not require any level of physical fitness or prior training. All attendees will have fun and gain some important skills!
